Responsibilities include:

  • Full life cycle recruiting 
  • Support Program and Business Development Managers to fill current and contingent positions
  • Build a candidate portfolio in TS/SCI community
  • Act as Customer primary point of contact to review requirements, provide status updates and expand opportunities and increase the site presence.
  • Process monthly customer invoices and reconcile with internal systems
  • Support Mercom remote/site assigned employees and build affinity and a team environment
  • Report status and progress to management team
  • Receive requirements from managers, post requisitions, source candidates, perform phone screens, extend offers, negotiate salaries, and close candidates.
  • Review each requisition; confer with managers to attract the appropriate candidate pool.
  • Provide regular feedback to Management on status of recruiting activity and any challenges being faced.
  • Communicate the availability of skill sets to and make recommendations on the staffing strategy to successfully fill staffing needs for Program success.
  • Determine sourcing strategy based on business needs and identify candidates by preparing job board postings; researching, and targeting potential candidates.
  • Build a strong network within DoD and Intelligence Community (Affinity Groups, Professional Associations, User Groups, and Community Organizations, etc.) and Social Networking (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.).
  • Identify passive candidates and develop/manage sourcing strategies that address strategic business needs/goals.
  • Provide complete, accurate and inspiring information to candidates and ensure an exceptional candidate experience through timely communication.
  • Support bid and proposal activity and recruit appropriately for this type of business

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Familiarity and experience in the defense and/or government contracting industry with a focus on the intelligence community.
  • Demonstrated experience with sourcing strategies
  • Ability to develop sourcing and recruitment strategies for book of business
  • Ability to advise managers on recruiting and current market conditions
  • Provide input and feedback to management on staffing
  • Demonstrated experience in full-lifecycle recruiting
  • Excellent communications skills 
  • Some travel required ( less than 10%) 
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience recruiting in the Intelligence Community and/or DoD 
  • Proven track recrord of recrutiing/closing cleared personnel  
  • Based in Fairfax, VA or Pawleys Island, SC

  • Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to Speak, Read, Write and Comprehend the English language.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Design software; Internet software; Email software: Spreadsheet software and Word Processing
